General Meeting
Meeting called to order at 7:29 PM
Board members in attendance as follows:
Ron Jones- President, Bill Pitman- Vice President, Gerry Simmons- Range Master, Cindy Sacry – Secretary
Pres: Minutes from last month were approved.
Treasure: Gerry read the treasure report.
Ron said that the brass money collected goes to the club. He also mentions that some one is not picking up their spent brass after shooting.
We need to remind everyone who shoots to pick up your brass after shooting. We have a new yellow brass bucket that you can put the brass in.
Gerry has been doing quite a few orientations and one person’s card was not working, but has been fixed now.
Bill would like to thank everyone who help out in the work party. There is another one work party scheduled for Thursday, September 8, 2023 and another one on Saturday, September 30th at 1: 30 PM.
To all members: As part of your Membership you are required to participate with work parties and Range duty one to two times per year!!
Bill mentioned that we still have to complete these tasks:
- Cut wood.
- Add a collar to the wood stove.
- Create a V for the outside roof to divert the rain around the stove pipe.
- Add a door to the shooting shack.
- Clean gutter.
- Fix backer boards.
- Fix stools in outside range.
- Get rid of bad railroad ties.
Starting next month the Military shoot time will change to 1:30 PM to see if attendance will improve. There are many of our members who attend church.
New Range: we are waiting for some grant money to continue the work.
Ron said that we need a new brass bucket for the indoor range. Gerry said that he has a pressure tank, so he will donate it and Ron will make it into our new brass bucket.
Silhouette- per Bill attendance has been down.
Black Powder Cartridge Shoot– per Gerry they had 7 people.
NRL shoot per Wayne we have 11 people who came out and had an extra stage.
Military Shoot: per Bill we only had 2 people.
