Minutes for July 1, 2026

General Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:31 PM

Board members in attendance as follows:

Ron Jones- President, Bill Pitman- Vice President, Gerry Simmons- Range Master, Mike Simmons-Secretary, Melanie Simmons- Treasurer, and 7 additional members present.

Pres: Due to not enough members in attendance for the June meeting and the annual meeting, there were no minutes to approve from the previous meetings.

Treasure: Melanie read the treasure report.

Pres:  Secretary to update and put the Club Calendar on the website and remove the “updated” website hosted calendar and posted on the main page.  

Gutters need to get checked and added to the work party next month.

Gerry:  There are 4 range duties this month.  7/26 is still open for those who are interested. 

Pres:  For those who do not know, the bank above the indoor range is working its way down to the roof.  Logging needs to take place and 2 flat spots need to be made to mitigate this slope.  Since this adjacent property and logging work is on City property, the City has been notified and will be handling this work (probably in the coming year) when new funds can be allocated for this project.

Security Cameras for the site need to be looked into.  Club Secretary will be heading up the search. 

Pres:  Upper range container delivery seems to hinge on that final approach slope and ability to turn a delivery vehicle around.

Shoot reports:

Open Pistol Shoot – 3-6 shooters

Silhouette- 7-8 people at each of the shoots.

Muzzle loader Shoot– No Complaints

NRL shoot– 10 shooters came last month

Military Rifle Shoot – 2 shooters

Note:  Oregon Arms gun show this month 22nd-23rd.
