General Meeting
Meeting called to order at 7:30 PM
Board members in attendance as follows:
Ron Jones- President, VP- Bill Pitman, Gerry Simmons- Range Master, Cindy Sacry – Secretary
Pres: Minutes from last month were approved.
Treasurer’s report was given.
Range Master- Gerry said that they gave 4 truckloads of cut wood to Turning point as a donation.
Richard Winders passed away Gerry spoke to his daughter she will help to get information out of his computer. His family will have his memorial sometime in January. Richard also known as Dick or Marbles was our club photographer and a good friend to many. He will be missed. We send our condolence to his family.
Gerry is working on the NRA Grant. They suggested that we could apply for 3 separate grants.
- The first grant for the cement bricks and installation.
- Equipment for the rimfire challenge like for Tables, hangers etc.
- The third is for safety equipment, gloves, safety glasses, ear protection and ammo.
The grants need to be submitted by December 6, 2023, and the NRA will decide who will get the money sometime in February 2024.
VP- Bill wanted to thank everyone who helped with firewood planter. It needs plants. Means Nursery in Scappoose donates plants we would like to get Rhododendrons and Azaleas. Someone will find out if they will donate plants.
We have a work party next Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 8 am to 12 pm.
Pres- Ron said that the letter he sent to Cher Fillman, and it got lost in the mail. It was sent Certified.
Secretary- Cindy asked if Melanie, our treasure was able to contact quick book to download the information and cancel it the use of this software. Gerry said that he thought she did.
The heat in the floor of the indoor range is not working. They said that they will have to find out why.
The Not-for-profit papers have been submitted.
NRL Shoot-is this Saturday, October 7, 2023.
Silhouette– had 7 people.
Muzzleloader – had 3 shooters. Karl with a K won last year.
Military Shoot– had 6 people come out.
Smallbore will return in December they do not need to travel first match is December 1, 2023, until the end of March 2024.
Saturday, October 21, 2023, is the Annual Potluck. It starts at 12 PM.
