Minutes for June 4, 2025

General Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:32 PM

Board members in attendance as follows:

Ron Jones- President, Bill Pitman- Vice President, Gerry Simmons- Range Master, Mike Simmons-Secretary, Melanie Simmons- Treasurer, and 8 additional members present.

Pres: Minutes from last month were approved.

Treasure: Melanie read the treasure report.

VP:  Work party went well.  Brush Clearing and general clean up.

Range Master:  Sign up sheets are going well.  Opening on the schedule for the last Sunday of the month.

Pres:  A cast iron disk was shot at and left at the 50yrd impact berm. It was found in fragments.  This is a dangerous practice as the brittleness of the cast iron can cause a ricochet. Don’t do this.

Pres:  We need to get the plaque for Arnold.  Gerry will be researching from the local shops and we should hear something in the next monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 2nd.

New Business:

New Open Pistol Shoot, on the outdoor / indoor ranges, (weather permitting) 8am-10am every Monday. Coordinators for this shoot are Marc Sampson or Karl Graschen.

Jon Schick – Member from More Excavation (MEI materials):  Making an AR500 Steel Donation for the 200 yard stand and 4’ backer belt for replacement backers.   Thank you Jon for your donation!

Shoot reports:

Silhouette- 6-8 people at each of the shoots.

Muzzle loader Shoot– Went well.  Moving Target possible this month.

NEW Open pistol shoot:  2-4 shooters, more are welcome.

NRL shoot– is this Saturday, June 7th, at 9 AM.  Skip Ryan will be running it.
