General Meeting

Meeting called to order at 7:34 PM

Board members in attendance as follows:

Ron Jones- President, Bill Pitman- Vice President, Gerry Simmons- Range Master, Mike Simmons– Secretary, Melanie Simmons- Treasurer.  7 Members and 5 Board Members.

Pres: Minutes from last month were approved.

Treasure: Melanie read the treasure report.

Sec:  We had a question about Hunters Education classes this year – Need to find out more from the State.  Will need to follow up.

VP:  There is an upcoming Work Party at the range Saturday 8/31/25.  Projects that we are planning for is as follows:

•  Replacing the backer boards and the ties that hold the berm back.

• Dig Post Holes for Shelter on the upper range

• New Post replacement at the 200yd range

• Primer Door (Main Range)

Gerry- PGE is looking at scheduling multiple range times in the coming months that will be generating funds for the club.

Regarding funds, we haven’t heard back from the NRA grant but we are saving to cover funds for the ground work coming up.

Need members to sign up for range duty.

Whoever took the Range Duty Vest, please bring it back.

New Business:

There was a member concern regarding the multiple upcoming indoor and outdoor range closures.  Since the opening of the upper range, is is the policy of the Club that this upper range is for members only and not open to the public on the “Open Range” days and will remain open to members during these indoor and outdoor range (lower range) closures.

Silhouette- per Bill Pitman they had 5-6 members this week and they had fun.

Open Pistol Shoot:  Mondays are going well.

Black Powder Shoot:  16th of August.  Planning on a pistol shoot so bring your black powder pistol.

Military Shoot- 2 people came for the military shoot but it was still fun.

NRL shoot- 5 shooters this month and 16 shooters last month.  Challenging shooting conditions.
